When we talk about the advantages and benefits of living green, we are not just concerned about the humans in our family. We want to include our dear pets who are very close to us emotionally for we care about their holistic pet care. Today I would like to talk about the food we place in front of our pets for meals. Without thinking, we often see advertisements or watch commercials that try to develop our trust in the name brands. That can be a great mistake!
I became aware of the issues with pet foods by reading an article /report by Dr. Lisa Newman and Mike Adams (“the Health Ranger”) titled “Pet Food Ingredients Revealed.” According to the authors, the most popular pet foods are often made from poor ingredients and in reality serve as a dumping ground for unwanted animal parts, certainly unsuitable for humans. In particular, the authors caution pet owners to heed the following: 1. Like we would normally for ourselves before consuming food, read the ingredient labels on pet food 2. Don’t be tricked by words such as “natural” or “wholesome” 3. Beware of artificial coloring added to pet food to give it a pleasing appearance 4. When you purchase pet food, do so at a health food store or online retailer you can trust–not big box stores or groceries.
Going on, the report details the right ingredients you should look for and how it should be prorated on the package, for instance, along with other helpful information to follow. You may access this report, including some quality stores that sell organic food for pets if you visit the webpage at http://greenworldtree.com/holisticpetcare.html. If you do not have a pet at home, this would be great information to forward to a friend who loves animals. He or she should appreciate the help for their pet.
